The Training & Development Manager is a leadership role within the Training Department of 7 Leaves Cafe. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Training and Development Manager is responsible for directly overseeing the Field Training Manager(s) and Store Observers. They play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing training programs to enhance team member skills, knowledge, and performance across the organization.


Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually

Responsibilities



  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Field Training Managers, Field Training Supervisors, and Store Observers. Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team. Support the professional development and growth of team members.

  • Strategy Execution: Work closely with the Director of Human Resources and representatives from Operations to execute the training strategy and achieve departmental objectives. Ensure that training initiatives are aligned with organizational goals and contribute to overall business success.

  • Program Development and Implementation:

  • Training Evaluation and Improvement: Establish evaluation frameworks and metrics to assess the effectiveness and impact of training programs. Collect feedback, conduct surveys, and analyze training data to identify areas for improvement. Continuously enhance training programs based on feedback and industry best practices.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with leadership, senior management, department heads, and subject matter experts to understand training needs and develop training programs that meet those requirements. Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure their involvement and support for training initiatives.

  • Budget Management: Assist the Director of Human Resources in managing the training budget. Help allocate resources effectively, monitor costs, and optimize training expenditures.

  • Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and new technologies in training, learning, and development. Continuously enhance knowledge and skills to bring innovation and effectiveness to training programs.

Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Training and Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a similar area.


Experience



  • Several years of experience in training and development, including experience in a leadership or managerial role.

  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and training program development methodologies.

  • Experience in leading and managing teams, including Field Training Managers and Learning and Development Managers.

  • Demonstrated experience in strategy execution, budget management, and evaluation of training programs.

  • Food and beverage, coffee and tea, or restaurant industry desired


Physical Requirements




  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer screen




  • Must be able to regularly lift at least 15 lbs at times
